Download the latest version of KaZaA Lite
Ptrack (Try to get an older version of 2.2)

KaZaA lite comes with the new instant add to
download, this means when you click a sig2dat link the file will be added to
your KaZaA download list immediately, this is causing a lot of problems on some
systems, resulting from the wrong files being added. Therefore I recommend you
use the original Sig2dat program and not use this new feature.
Installation
Make sure you close down your current version of
KaZaA, it is also advised that you back up your db folder, another good program
to help with you current settings is the PTrack program, you can set up a lot of
things with this program and maintain different profiles.

This does cause problems with wrong files being sent, I recommend you switch
it off

blocker
Don't get a false sense of security, apart from it being imposable to block
companies in that list, you could end up blocking file sharing users on
KaZaA. Switch it off you don't need it, its no use

Un-check the
rest as listed.
After you have
installed the program you need to set a few options up, quite a lot of these
settings wont let you add values you really want, this is where you use Ptrack
to set-up and register your profile.
For now lets set
up what we can
Select this from the menu and check some of the
settings
Clear the start page, or point to a html document
on your hard drive, switch the other items off, they are of no use.
These setting mostly "Don't work" especially the
scan for new, it is better to use the old Speed up program
Forget it, the program will only let you set 50
maximum number of simultaneous downloads, don't know about you, but there should
be no restrictions in this program ?
Now select the KL Extensions Options, again here
there are values you cannot use
Here the Accelerator can only be set to 30
seconds, use the old "Speed UP" program and don't bother with this Accelerator
at all !!, you can scan every second with the old speed up, which is far better
than every 30 seconds, if someone disconnects you, you will get back the
connection immediately :)
Ptrack
Download and install Ptrack, use it to set things
up, then un-install it !
Start ptrack, right click its Icon in your task
bar and select "Show Main Window" from there you can change a lot of settings,
not allowed in the main KaZaA. Try to get a old version of this program, the new
version (2.2) is not as good as the older one.
Close the program and switch back to KaZaA, check
out the settings have been enabled, try to change some of them, you will find it
wont let you have the same value's :)
You now need to install the normal
Sig2Dat Program
